After Ethyl demolished the old houses that were on Laurel and Pine in the middle of the night, a mural appeared on the east side of this house. It consisted of caricatures of Gottwald paying off City Manager (former Ethyl employee) Calvin Jamison. The mural is gone now and so is Jamison.
